NAKI
Naki was founded in Lisbon in 2024. From Portugal to the world, Naki's purpose is to create quality accessories that unite African culture with our dogs.
All our products are unique and carefully handcrafted in Nairobi, Kenya by a group of artisans.
From cutting the leather to crafting the patterns with beads, and including the hardware, everything is done with the utmost attention to detail.
And if you're new here, hello! We hope you'll stay for a long time!
THE NAME NAKI
It's a combination of our dogs' names: Nala and Loki, the inspiration behind it all.
This word has a meaning in Africa, in Ghana, of "first daughter". In this case, it is the first project.
It is also related to Thinking outside the box is one of the foundations of the brand.
MAKE A DIFFERENCE
Naki was created to make a difference and is committed to having a positive and significant impact!
We work with quality suppliers and together we have a mission to empower the Kenyan community by supporting their work through economic initiative and fair trade.
All our products are made by artisans. The leather is hand-cut by male artisans and then all the beading work is done by female artisans.
With each Naki product, we are not only improving the style of our best friend but also contributing to the empowerment of female artisans, who are the heart and soul of our production. We are promoting the foundations for a more promising future, with products rich in culture, detail and tradition!
ABOUT US
Naki is made up of people (and dogs, in this case). Our dogs were the main reason for creating this brand and, therefore, are part of the team!
